2nd Open Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, my JD winner last year & sire of BPD, coming into his own, lovely make and shape & presented in the pink, such a lovely masculine lad with saucy expression, a very confident dog with lovely temperament, very clean head, pleasure to go over, good ears, skull, muzzle, strong neck, good shoulder, very strong bone, straight legs & firm pasterns, good length of body, well constructed rear, well muscled thigh, very sound on the move with good side extension. In the challenge for RCC could not match Buddy for type & panache but by no means disgraced, looked a little tired.
LEEDS 2009 - Judge Mr Malcolm Smith
2nd Puppy Dog
Sancholees Ceasars Palace, just 6 months old & what a cracker. A real baby but such a lot of potential. Classic head shape, colour and dark eye, well boned, good feet and pastern, well shaped stifle, overall balance & true mover. I see Sire is my RCC.
2nd Open Dog, RCC
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, handsome dog of similar type and very close up to 1. Presents very attractive outline throughout, good front straight legs and feet, correct topline and strength at the rear, will do well RCC.
2nd Puppy Bitch
Sancholees Mirage, just 6 months and I see she is litter sisterto the PD & the same comments apply being so very promising. Lovely head, well boned, good stifle & particularly sound in rear movement.
WELKS 2009 - Judge Mr Albert Wight
1st Limit Dog, RCC
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, I don't ever recall seeing this very handsome dog before but he was presented in immaculate order, is all male in head without ever veering towards coarseness, stunning eyes and expression and well placed ears. He is shapely, well ribbed, enough bend of stifle, very well boned forelegs with excellent strength in pastern which is sadly missing in too many. His action is even striding, balanced and smooth. All in all a lovely example of the breed and deserving of a title.
Crufts 2009 - Judge Mrs Celia Peters
3rd Limit Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, My heartbreak of the day, winner when he stood and first moved but started to drop a shoulder on 2nd time around and didn't recover. Lovely type with great topline and correct angles. Hope he recovers his movement soon.
City Of Birmingham 2008 - Judge Mrs Judy Oriani
2nd Limit Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, Attractive with good body and rib, and correct tail and feet. A little straight in stifle. A nice head type but would prefer a stronger muzzle.
Welsh Kennel Club 2008 - Judge Mr Peter Oriani
2nd Limit Dog, RCC
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, Another one of my favourites, not quite the substance of 1, but very well balanced and proportioned. Excellent firm level topline, well muscled and boned quarters, correct angulation, good tailset, his movement was on par with 1, RCC.
2nd Post Graduate Bitch
Sancholees Aphrodites Rock, Nicely constructed sand coloured bitch in good coat. Strong head with rather round and light eye which distracted a little from the kind expression expected in the breed. Very nicely constructed, strong bone, good muscletone and angulation, very good mover.
NWPB 2008 - Judge Mr Richard Kinsey
1st Yearling Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, Not the biggest dog but he is well made. Dark overlay to coat, nice head but a bit too full in mask going back to occiput, dark oval eyes and well set ears, clean full dentition, strong neck to well laid front assembly, good spring of rib, firm topline, powerful well angled hindquarters allowing good side gait and extension close behind and at times does something odd with his left rear. All that apart he is a good example that needs a bit more time. Put down in top class coat and condition.
World Show, Stockholme, Sweden 2008 - Judge Guido Perisino
1st Intermediate Dog, CAC
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, 19 months, Excellent size, well masculine. Sound lovely head and expression, despite lack of under jaw and light eyes. Lovely ears and neck strong. Slightly straight shoulders, still good topline. Excellent bone, slightly east west. Good rear, lovely mover, excellent coat.
Windsor 2008 - Judge Mr Ben Reynolds-Frost

Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, yearling of excellent proportions, nicely combines substance and quality, masculine without coarseness, ideal head, dark expressive, oval eyes well set, strong, clean neck, balanced angulation, good width and depth of chest, soundly constructed, moved & showed to maximise his virtues, well presented in best coat and condition.
Bath 2008 - Judge Mr D Cavill
2nd Post Graduate Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, Best mover in the class without a doubt, mask a little too heavy for my liking but otherwise an excellent size and a beautifully proportioned dog.
Whitney Open 2008 - Judge Mrs Judith Dawe
1st Junior Dog, BOB
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, pleased to have the chance to go over this young dog who I have admired from the ringside, good size, strong and muscular, dark mask and eyes with such a melting expression, correctly set ears, strong neck of the right length. Well positioned shoulders and well developed chest for such a large breed and such a young dog, good bone, straight forelegs, adequate rear angulation, not overdone and good breadth of thigh, strong second thigh and hocks well placed, strong tailset in a low position, carried correctly on the move, with luck he will surely reach top honours.
Birmingham National 2008 - Judge Mr Geoff Duffield
1st Junior Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, most beautiful dog almost out of Junior & one I seriously considered for top honours, looking at him he just takes your breath away, no mistaking his sex. Such a lovely head to go over, very sweet dark eye & expression, tries to stare you out but has a twinkle in his eye, just plain saucy, excellent construction throughout, strong neck, good in shoulder, well covered body in hardy condition, excellent bone, straight legs, strong in pastern, tight feet, very good rear assembly with good stifle, well muscled thigh, strong hocks allowing him to move out with purpose. Excellent presentation.
WELKS 2008 - Judge Mrs Joan M Rushby
1st Junior Dog, RCC
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, fabulous beautiful dog at 17 months. All male of good size, presented in tip top condition. A most beautiful head with dark mask and eye. Strong neck, level topline, well set and carried tail. Super bone, excellent tight feet, in full coat, very well handled. Moved OK but would just like a little more umph. Surely a future champion. Another I will watch with interest. Good Luck. No hesitation in awarding him the Reserve CC.
Crufts 2008 - Judge Mrs Jennie Davie
3rd Junior Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, beautifully presented, good head complete mask and oval well set eyes, moved steady. His hocks were not as strong as 1 and 2.
NWPB Open - Judge Caroline King-Cherne
1st Junior Dog, BD, BOB
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, eyecatching 15 month old, so masculine with a lovely balanced outline. Although not fully mature this lad had everything I was looking for. Excellent type with a strong head, dark mask and that melting expression, which typifies the breed. I would have liked him to use his ears more. He excelled in bone, with a good depth of chest, level topline and a strong decently angled rear which powered him around the ring. Shown with a full immaculately presented coat.
Manchester 2008 - Judge Mrs Sue Thomas
1st Junior Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, good mask and eye, super bone and construction, good proportions, lovely coat which was well presented. Moved well in front but not as well at the rear.

Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, 11 months and a very good outline and proportions. Clean and well presented coat, at one with his handler on the move. Very good quarters and depth of body, held his topline standing and moving. Mature for his age, went well and has good ring presence and ittelligent expression, full of potential.
Welsh Kennel Club 2007 - Judge Jane Lilley
2nd Puppy Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, very much more mature, in excellent coat and condition, beautifully presented, just a little shorter in neck and smaller in eye than the winner. Good straight topline, thick ears, good bone, feet and tail carriage. He too moved well.
City of Birmingham 2007 - Judge Mr Albert Wight
1st Puppy Dog, BP
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, the best ring trained and the most advanced in body and coat. Good wither height, well laid shoulders, ample width in chest, the ribs have depth and his backline is level. Blessed with a reasonable reach of neck, his croup is well moulded and the tailplenty long enough. Head coming along well, clean, well balanced, medium in size and a rich brown colour. I thought him a comfortable BP
NWPB Championship Show 2007 - Helen Davenport-Willis
2nd Puppy Dog
Sylbert Emperor Ridge at Sancholees, 8 months another typey boy, lovely head and expression, dark mask, nice outline, well off for bone and substance. Very nice feet. On the move he is sound but needs a touch more animation. Lovely teperament. Very promising.
